Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki is likely out until the All-Star Break with a torn tendon in his left quad.

According to what Tulowitzki's agent told the AP yesterday, "Best case scenario is six weeks. The realistic one is a few months. We’re hoping it’s a couple months, but we won’t know until they do further medical tests." Cohen also reported their was "massive swelling and bleeding". Ugh, not good news for the reigning NL Rookie of the Year.

No, I think it just happened, right before he went on the DL. It doesn't explain away the slump.

Troy Tulo should have been named rookie of the year last year...he was runner-up. He is so important to this team and GOOD NEWS! He is playing for Modesto for the past week and will be playing for my hometown CO Springs Skysox next week. He should be back with the Rockies by June 23rd barring any setbacks. He is a great clutch hitter and one of the best short stops in Major League Baseball in my opinion both offensively and defensively. Rockies need him bad!
