Fuentes loses arbitration case

Brian Fuentes lost his arbitration case with the Rockies yesterday, but he'll still see his salary spike from $3,525,000 to $5.05 million next season. Not bad. Not the $6.5 million the reliever was looking for after his 20-save performance, but still not bad.

I'm not sure how he thought he could win. He was so bad in the middle of the year, he lost the closer's job.
