Rockies Won't Trade Atkins

SI's Jon Heyman reports the Colorado Rockies have no intention to trade third baseman Garrett Atkins this off-season. Instead, they will look to move third base prospect Ian Stewart over to second base.

Heyman mentions they may move Stewart should Kaz Matsui not re-sign with the team.

Great idea. No reason to move one of the best 3B in the NL for a prospect. Move the young guy to fit in where you have a need.
