Rockies hurt by long layoff?

Anyone here think the long layoff between the end of the NLCS and the start of the World Series hurt the Colorado Rockies?

I don't think it hurt them. It's not like they were a comedy of errors and stupid baseball. They just couldn't hit Boston's pitchers. Their pen couldn't keep it close when it mattered.

So could the hitters timing have been off? Remember, a lot of people thought the Tigers were lethargic in last year's series after the similar circumstances.

They could have played that series a day after the Rockies won the pennant and the result would have been the same. Boston was a MUCH better team.
