Aaron Cook pitching Game 4

Rockies P Aaron Cook has been added to the team's World Series roster and will start Game 4.

According to the Associated Press, "Cook, who was the Rockies' opening-day starter, hasn't pitched in a major league game since Aug. 10 because of a strained muscle in his side. He aggravated the injury in a Sept. 1 rehab start at Triple-A Colorado Springs and then watched Colorado's spectacular September from afar... Cook, deemed too rusty before the NLCS, pitched in a simulated game Saturday at Coors Field while the Rockies waited through a record eight-day layoff for the World Series. After walking his first two batters, he proved he was healthy and ready to return to the rotation by retiring 12 of 16 hitters." Good move?

Re: Aaron Cook pitching Game 4

Todd Greene (former big league catcher) was on a NY radio show moments ago and he said Cook was the Rockies best pitcher, including Francis. The two were teammates so maybe Greene knows something we don't (lol).

Re: Aaron Cook pitching Game 4

It doesn't matter who they pitch, Boston will slaughter them all. Manny and Ortiz could get hit by a truck and they would still sweep Colorado. Colorado would be about the tenth best team in the American League, perhaps maybe as good as the Texas Rangers on one of their better days. Boston could pitch the team's cook and beat them.

Re: Aaron Cook pitching Game 4

It's do or die for the Rockies tonight with Aaron Cook taking the mound. Can he keep the Boston bats in check?

Cool Re: Aaron Cook pitching Game 4

We can analyze this all we want, but the bottom line is Colorado is in WAY over their heads...Series will NEVER get back to Boston.
