Garrett Atkins trade rumors

According to Yahoo! Sports rumor page, "Colorado Rockies third baseman Garrett Atkins faces an uncertain future after this season ends... The Rockies could trade Atkins to open the third base job, and given Atkins' offensive production, the market would be strong, beginning with interest from the Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros." Think the Rockies will wind up dealing Atkins?

That is what they have been known for. Getting players in the majors then trading them away for prospects. I just wonder how they never traded away Helton.

I really hope Atkins stays with the rockies. sure ian stewart is a high end prospect but atkins is a proven slugger and very dependable
