Rockies trade Kim to Marlins

According to the Associated Press, "The Rockies sent Byung-Hyun Kim to Florida for fellow righty Jorge Julio... Kim has a 45-52 record in 369 career major league games, including 65 starts, with Arizona, Boston and Colorado... Julio is 13-30 with a 4.41 ERA over 353 games, including 126 starts for Baltimore, the Mets, Arizona and Florida." So do you guys like this deal?

Cool Re: Rockies trade Kim to Marlins

Kim has never been the same since surrendering those 2 homers to Broscious and Tino in the '01 playoffs.

He has been mentally unstable ever since?

I think he can do well, but he just isn't the same he used to be.

A pitcher's psyche is a fragile thing. Remember Rick Ankeil? He never did recover from that awful playoff outing as a rookie.

Not just pitchers, necessarily.

Chuck Knoblauch was never the same after he couldn't throw the ball to first.

Although I guess it affects pitchers, more. Probably because they're involved in every play.

I heard he is trying to make it back as an OF.

Yes, as long as they partake in the failure of the play.
