| Kaz Matsui is Comfortable (FINALLY!) TSN has a story on Kaz Matsui...how he's finally comfortable...how he "wasn't himself" while in New York. BIG SHOCK! At the end of last year, he started to do well after returning from a back injury. Now the Rockies are loving the fact they have two speedsters at the top of their line-up in Wily Taveras and Matsui. Obviously, Colorado isn't New York and he can just relax and play ball. Will he finally have a complete solid season? |

| Re: Kaz Matsui is Comfortable (FINALLY!) Kazuo Matsui had a significant amount of pressure in New York, being compared to Ozzie Smith and other greats. He was also one of the first Japanese batters in years to join the MLB, and the media definitely took advantage of that fact. I'm not expecting an excellent season from him, but he is still a decent player to have in your fantasy line-up. He can get some hits, but nothing that will put you in first place. Matsui is basically your average guy to grab if nobody better is available. |

| Re: Kaz Matsui is Comfortable (FINALLY!) Just got done reading another article along these same lines, where Matsui talked about how much he loved Colorado: "I think it’s a really good place for me... I changed my environment in Colorado, and everybody changed — the coaches, the manager and my teammates all made me really comfortable. That’s why it’s kind of a fresh start." It also says he took a big-time pay cut so he could stay with the Rockies. In Colorado, Matsui’s Problems Have Vanished Into Thin Air
