Dan Hawkins received the third commitment to Colorado's 2009 recruiting class on Wednesday.
Clark Evans, a 6-foot-5 quarterback from Los Alamitos, Calif., has given a verbal commitment to the Buffs according to scout.com.
Evans threw for more than 2,000 yards and rushed for almost a 1,000 as a junior. Scout.com ranks the dual-threat signal-caller as the No. 34 quarterback in the country and a three-star recruit.
Before committing to Colorado, Evans also received offers from Kansas State, Arizona, Boise State and San Diego State.
