| Buffaloes vs. Florida State I'll be honest with you, I'm not totally sure what to make of this one. Both FSU and Colorado are 1-1. The Buffaloes just blew a two-touchdown lead and lost to Arizona State, 33-14, while the Seminoles were down by two touchdowns to UAB before mounting a comeback and winning 34-24. Neither team looks very good right now. Who do you guys like in this one?

| Re: Buffaloes vs. Florida State This is about a toss up. FSU has warehoused talent for 5 years and managed to do little with any of it. We have a drastically new coaching staff (except for head coach) and so far they haven't paid any dividends. CU has the home field advantage and a unique home field advantage it is ! Playing under the Flatirons is a whole new experience for FSU. Still I think FSU is the more talented squad (at least on paper) and despite the formidable home field advnatage I see FSU edging CU 24 to 21. But then I am biased Should be a great game for both teams and a chance to breakout. |

| Re: Buffaloes vs. Florida State Thanks for the welcome Lefty ! Good to be here. Honestly I didn't think the problem lay with Jeff Bowden, Jimbo Fisher's predecessor, but that it was had pretty much become consensus at FSU. I was afraid that we might end up making drastic changes that had little or nothing to do with the perceived problem. Kind of like the guy that keeps turning the thermostat control up and down because he won't have patience to let it level out. I said last year that new position and assistant coaches may cause temporary instability when we might be about ready for a turnaround. Well no matter how good JF is it will probably require a year or more of installing his system. I think that replacing position and assistant coaches on a large scale requires much more of an adjustment in a major college program than replacing a head coach. The assistants and position coaches are the real hands on, in the field, making it happen, guys. The head coach is more an administrator and until he's up to speed the system still runs fine if the other coaches are in place. I have a personal theory about the problems at FSU. While most fans believe we suffer from too little recruited super stars I believe we suffer from too many. I think superstar players are like spice. A sprinkling makes a dish tasty, too much makes it unpalatable. Well a losing season will cure that mix in a hurry. However I think that Fisher, Trickett and Amato are good at managing high spirited, egomanical kids and so maybe they can help Coach bowden, who has historically recruited rural and mill town kids that didn;t require so much maintainence |

| Re: Buffaloes vs. Florida State Tough loss for the Buffaloes in this one, 16-6, but it was almost worse. According to the Associated Press, "The Buffaloes were in danger of getting shut out for the first time since Nov. 12, 1988, at Nebraska, until Cody Hawkins found tight end Tyson DeVree in the back of the end zone on fourth-and-10 from the Seminoles 11 with 3:40 remaining... That was the latest the Buffs had scored in their 225-game scoring streak, the longest in the Big 12. The Buffs' last whitewash at home was a 28-0 loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 15, 1986."
