so this poses the question - raycroft and Budaj - who in heck are they using for number 1 now that Theodore is gone? They must be in negotiations and plan to send one of these two down for a while.

Raycroft is better than Budaj. Not bye much, but Raycroft can be great in many situations. Put him in Colorado.

are you kidding? we had him here in TO and he - well he sucked.
These are his numbers in TO - we worked Toskala to death because raycroft was so very undependable:
3 wins 4 losses and 16 GA.
the year before he posted a record 37 wins (25 losses) but that's just because we had NO ONE ELSE to play.
It was painful to watch his confidence go down and you could watch it visibly happen. I think he has the ability but as soon as he gets scored on, you see it in his body language - he looks defeated and frustrated.
