| Re: Forsberg is injured!- Avs win anyway In this case, this new injury seems unrelated to the foot. Maybe. If his injured foot is causing him to make an adjustment to his game, maybe that is how he got hurt. But I'm reaching. I'm just not convinced that: A. he is healthy B. That the remaining number of games is enough to get him in good playing shape C. That his injury status in itself won't become a distraction, as it did in Philly |

But maybe he was paying us back, by not being a burden here. I think what we are going to see is what we saw here. A once great player that will show just enough left in the tank to get the Av's fans hopes up! Just like he was here! |

If he wasn't ready to play, he wouldn't. He has had a LONG time to rest. |

| Re: Forsberg is injured!- Avs win anyway well it could be the player's fault if he is older or not well conditioned enough, or is prone to injuries because of a lifelong career in a hard fought sport. I'm not so much blaming Forsberg as just saying, I'm not surprised. |

I can go dig up some Eric Lindros footage, or Tim Kerr. Hell, even Bobby Clarke! The past means nothing. In sports, it is truly "what have you done for me lately"? And what has Peter done? Sit around in street clothes for the better part of the last year! |

| Re: Forsberg is injured!- Avs win anyway He's been injured for the better part of the last two seasons. Enough is enough. He was once a great player, but he can only do it in short spurts these days. He is no longer "Peter the Great". He is Peter the once great. The only way we are going to see glory from him is with the odd great play, and looking back on you tube to the days when ESPN was broadcasting games. Sad but true... |
