Sakic has hernia surgery
He will miss 8-12 weeks.
He's been gone since Nov 30- missed 2 games already.
They were trying to make it work with therapy but he wasn't making any progress.
He's had seven goals and 15 assists in 24 games this season, and has played in 232 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 6, 2004.
I predict, he will be sorely missed. he is the Avalanche.
