| Re: The SEC Is Overrated I agree USC is a class act and very good year in - year out - it's the rest of the PAC 10 that is only average. UGA has expanded its schedule - this year ASU - next year Okla St. That being said the SEC is a tough grind almost every year and teams are reluctant to travel 6,000 miles. I would like to see more of it but I doubt we will. We - the fans - can only wait for bowl games to produce good out of conference match ups. We would have nothing to argue about if we played out of conference

| Re: The SEC Is Overrated Yup we noticed. All summer we anticipated a real game only to find out it was a down year for ASU. One of the problems is schedules are made out years in advance - something we can't change. |

| Re: The SEC Is Overrated LOL we would still have the same arguments - who gets invited? I say right now Utah is #1 and will remain #1 until someone beats them. |

Why in the hell would an SEC team want to go to Columbus? No competition comin out of there. I mean Ohio State has lost three BCS games in a row. Two national titles in a row to two SEC teams that blew thier butts away.

If it was so easy to win in Columbus, I'm sure teams would be lining up to get that "quality" win for the computers. 3 BCS losses in a row, that looks bad until you realize there aren't very many teams that have EVER gone to 3 BCS games in a row. As for this thread's title, I wouldn't say the SEC is overrated...it's more that both the Pac 10 and the MWC are underrated! |

| Re: The SEC Is Overrated I think the talent in all the conferences is increasing, but the SEC is still the best in the country. I think it is a direct result of the coaching talent found through out the SEC and the big pains taken by SEC schools to recruit. They will go into nearly any schools back yard and win the recruiting battles. If you cant win the recruiting battles, you will not win on the field. |

The bottom line is that the SEC has a losing record when having to go to northern BCS schools to play a game. Hence that's why they take great pains not to schedule away games against the Ohio State's of college football. |

| Re: The SEC Is Overrated I think any success any team has on the field is a direct result of talent/coaching. Have all the talent in the world without any one to develope that talent and it gets you nothing. Kyle Wittingham has to be doing a super job for Utah to be where they are. Are most of Utahs players local talent or are they getting them from all over? I bet they are having success recruiting to go with the good coach. |
