| Re: Top 5 most annoying football fans Most 'Bama, Georgia, Tennessee fans I've encountered are great. Florida fans think they invented football. Notre Dame fans have been pretty damn quiet as of late IMO. But to me, sCUm {Colorado} KSUcks {Kansas State} Missery {Missouri} and PSUcks {Penn State} are the worst fans in college football. |

1. Notre Dame- Join a conference already. You're not that special. I like it when your team sucks; you're far less annoying. 2. USC- You think you deserve to go every single year. You don't. Nothing bugs me more than when fans cling to a false sense of entitlement when things don't go their way. 3. The Ohio State University- has some of The Most Annoying Fans. I intentionally ranked you just below USC in order to send a message. Get used to being there. Can't beat the Pac-10 champ when it counts, and can't beat the SEC champ when it counts. That's what everyone else sees. 4. Texas- We can't play for the Big 12 title? But...but...we're Texas! Again, clinging to entitlement. 5. Florida- When a conference as a whole takes the "We're better than you" attitude, the collective guilt gets diffused a little...but Florida is probably the most deserving. Some other schools in Florida give them a run for their money, but UF fans are probably the worst. At least the most visible right now, anyway. This ranking is completely subjective and based entirely on what is most annoying to me personally. If Notre Dame will freaking join the Big East already, they will fall off the list entirely. And I differ from bigorange on the SEC because I think the conference as a whole is very good from top to bottom, so I don't mind that they already think their conference champ deserves to play for the title before the season even starts. That's because their conference is that good- and besides, when they go they win. Convincingly. Additionally, the two teams playing for the SEC title changes up quite a bit from year to year, so I think that helps every school's fans stay a little more humble and it keeps them from believing in that false entitlement I hate so much. For most of those fans, they are simply forced to believe they are not good enough at least 4 out of every 5 years. Compare that to the Pac-10, which USC wins pretty much every year- and expects to play for the national championship pretty much every year. I can point to just one school in that conference and say they annoy the crap out of me year in and year out. And that's what I think. |

| Re: Top 5 most annoying football fans Being from the Northworst and in Pac 10 country the Huskies aint got much to scream about the last few years. But I would rank the die hard fans up there. USC has the most morons per square inch. Stanford dont even deserve to be mentioned. And UCLA is what you get when its a clear day in Southern Cal. The Golden Bears cant be found so one couldnt answer the question "What do bears do in the woods?" And Wazzu? Those little kitties ran up a tree to hide. The folks from Arizona only care about getting tanned. We here in Washington dont tan, we rust! |

| Re: Top 5 most annoying football fans It varies from year to year. I have been to all the great rivalry games. I am a USC grad, which makes me a snob, but a rich one who made a lot of money wagering on football and researching it. Pac 10 fans other that USC fans have no clue because they have no loyalty and alum support. Just look at Uceless (UCLA). They have the worst Alum in the Pac 10 today. For the amount of graduates they put out (kind of like a fctory), their Alumni is a disgrase. The RoseBowl holds 90,000 people and UCLA Alum do not fill half of it up. Like I said, I have seen all the great rivalries, and that is how you judge fans. Alabama's rank right near the top of annoying fans because they are rarely sober. Tennessee runs a strong second because they know absolutely nothing else but Tennessee Football, and that includes their names half of the time. Florida fans are more smug than annoying. Florida State fans are just plain stupid. They still think that they have a great team, year after year. Ohio State fans, and Big 10 fans in general can not get the fact that they are in a **** poor conference out of their head. The Pac 10 kicks their tails year after year, as does the SEC. The fact is that todays super kids are going to play in Florida, Texas, California, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia and other great weather states, not in Madison, Columbus Ohio, or South Bend Indiana. Texas fans are a pain in the a** becuase they really believe that they belong in every NC game. They can thank their crybaby coach Mack Brown for that attitude. I also have found that the more obnoxioius and the more of a "homer" someone is on the internet, the more hatred he will build for his team. There is some idiot poster on another board who thinks Florida State is the greatest thing since the wheel. He predicts that they will win the ACC every year and go the the NC game every year. Naturally he get's his tail kicked every year, but that does not bother him. He just goes on and on. That makes you think that every other Florida State fan is that big of an idiot (which is not true) and ruins it for the schools and their legit fans. Now for every idiot fan out there, there are 100 great fans. I have met some of my closest friends at USC-Notre Dame games in both L.A. and South Bend. I have met Alabama fans who admit that their team was caca (before Saban got there). When USC played in Nebraska, our group of USC fans was treated very kindly by the Nebraska fans, even though they were geting it kicked out of them. When my wife and I travelled across the South, the people and fans in Mississippi and Tennessee could not be nicer to us. So it works both ways. There are a lot of great fans out there, but it doesn't take too many to ruin it for all. |
