ESPN radio had an interesting take on the two most powerful divisions in football. Like it or not the NFC EAST has arguably the three best teams in all of football. Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington all seem to be way above average this year.

The same could be said of the SEC West as we move into the college football rankings. Alabama, Georgia, LSU all in the top ten some argue they could all be top five sadly must knock each other out of the power rankings. The cannibalization of the SEC West does not show how strong the conference is. While the PAC 10 and BIG 12 spout off tripe about how strong they are they know that the SEC West is the most powerful conference in college football. That is why they avoid perennial powerhouses LSU, Alabama, Georgia because when they don't they end up like Arizona State with a big loss on National TV. Sadly teams like Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi become stepping stones to a National Title. Now before you go beating your chest about how tough your conference is or how your team is all that ask your self this... Does my team play a top tier SEC team? If the answer to that is no then how do you measure up and by what standard? The SEC has rountinely produced the National Champion year in and year out [just ask Ohio State]. It is a shame that we don't have a playoff system like the NFL. Then you would see more SEC teams competing for the championships. Physical brute strength and speed win football games with good coaching a formula that is successful in the NFL and the SEC. Perhaps that is why coaches are leaving the NFL to go into the SEC. Better pay and off on Sundays.

The Sec is crap. Schedule more out of conference games and maybe in the future you'll get more respect from the rest of the country.

Yes, Georgia did beat Az.St, but tell me the last time Georgia played a game out west?

Oh and don't give me that Georgia scheduled Boise St a couple years back at home.

Why would any self-respecting conference schedual a PAC 10 team? Really look at the strength of schedual of the PAC 10. The SEC and ACC have been mixing it up and Big 12 and Big 10 mix it up. Face it the west coast is full of wannabes. USC will get ABSOLUTLEY CRUSHED in the bowl game because they are not tough. You have read too much media hype if you believe Ohio State is a top 25 team much less top 3. USC is the media darling because the real action is in the SEC and they know it. Still don't believe it follow the money. Did ABC/ESPN offer the PAC 10 or WAC or Big 10 or Big 12 anywhere close to the money they offered the SEC? Anything at all close to 2+Billion dollars? Why not? [Because they are weaklings just like the AFC West is a bunch of weaklings compared to the NFC East] Follow the money and you find out who is the real deal and who is a pretender.

Ya, the SEC mixes it up. It sure does by playing in-state schools. Tell me, Who is their right mind cares about Georgia Southern? My high school football team can beat Georgia Southern!!!!!

Don't give me the notion that the media is all hyped up about USC..

USC earned their respect. Tell me what happen when USC played at Auburn and Arkansas ??? Tell me ??

You got to admit the USC program under Pete Carroll has been amazing and unbelievable. It has and will continue to recruit any athlete they want.

Tell me, what happen to Damian Williams and Mitch Mustain. They both transferred to USC b/c let me guess the food is better in the west coast?
How did we ended up with Joe Mcknight and Patrick Turner from your own backyard?

The SEC is a joke and will continue to be a joke unless they play more schools out West.

Don't talk about payout. The SEC has the best payout out of any other conference for bowl games, not BCS related.

I'm sorry, how many times does USC play outside of their conference? Yeah and they are just like Ohio State, they are basically the only descent team in their conference. USC has nobody to play against in their conference. PAC-10 is a bunch of nobodies. The SEC is tough as hell, even the lowest team on the ballot in the SEC is tough.

Hmmm let's see, go out-west were your guaranteed a media filled life? Considering how many kids today are all about themselves and not the game, no shocker. USC has their ☻☻☻☻☻es kissed by the media and NCAA. Let's put USC in the SEC and let's see how far they go, they won't get far cause they'll never be able to stand up to gettin beatup week in and week out.
