| College Football Hall of Fame: Class of 2008 Troy Aikman and Lou Holtz lead the 2008 inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame. Rounding out the class, according to the AP, "The other 10 players chosen by the National Football Foundation’s selection committee were Virginia tackle Jim Dombrowski, Northwestern linebacker Pat Fitzgerald, Florida linebacker Wilber Marshall, Washington State running back Rueben Mayes, Arizona State guard Randall McDaniel, Wyoming tight end Jay Novacek, Texas Tech wide receiver Dave Parks, Florida State nose tackle Ron Simmons, Oklahoma State running back Thurman Thomas and Army quarterback Arnold Tucker... | Re: College Football Hall of Fame: Class of 2008 Yeah... I look at John Cooper, and I struggle to find a coach whose teams underachieved more than his did. OSU should have won one, maybe two National Titles under him. No way he should be a Hall of Famer. Glad to see a lot of these guys make it, though: Holtz, Aikman, Thurman, Wilber Marshall, Novacek, Randall McDaniel, Ron Simmons... all worthy inductees, no doubt about it. |
