Re: Herbstreit and Corso I agree there. These guys get into these ruts where they will only choose certain teams/conferences. But I guess I should give them the benefit of the doubt; they cant please us all!

Re: Herbstreit and Corso Hmmm, I am not sure about Herbstreit being a homer, he has picked Michigan too beat OSU two of the last three seasons (going 2-1 for the stretch). And if he picks OSU an inordinate amont of the time, it is probably because they are generally favored in every game. If you measured him by his bowl picks he prefers the SEC over any other conference in the country (And OSU is 4-1 in bowls under Tressel). I guess what I am inferring is even though he often picks his team, that doesn't brand him a homer, especially if that team is successful. Usually he is making a calculated pick based on the research and insider knowledge that he collects. As for Corso... let's just say his coaching record is very telling of his analytical capacity.

Re: Herbstreit and Corso Didn't Corso coach at Indiana? Nobody wins there. Herbstreit is a BIG10 homer, meaning he will always be critical of any team playing against a Big10 team. Kirk always favors a Big10 team over a non Big10 team, at least Corso will go with whomever he thinks is better, not necessarily who is from the Big10. By the same token, you will always hear CBS analysts praise the SEC in spite of their reluctance to play good teams out of conference(Tennessee the exception and Florida only against other Florida schools).

Re: Herbstreit and Corso Regarding Corso and Herbstreit... I may be in the minority here, but I like them and I'm a huge fan of College Gameday as a whole. I find them to be entertaining without dipping into the silliness of Fox NFL Sunday or the Best Damn Sports Show Period. Again, I'm probably in the minority, but I see no problem with them whatsoever.

Re: Herbstreit and Corso Neither do I, Gameday and the presentation of Gameday has always been getting everyone excited for the days games. I enjoy the A-type personalities accentuating the positive while still maintaining a degree of objective analysis. With that said, Herbstriet is done with Gameday. He is moving to ESPN to cover the Saturday night games with Musburger and Bob Davie. I have no idea who is going to (or can) fill his void.

Re: Herbstreit and Corso That stinks. I was wondering if his switching to the Sat. Night game would mean he was leaving Gameday. Theoretically, if Gameday did all their live stuff from the location of the ABC game, it could still work. But if not, they'll probably have Mark May take his spot.

Re: Herbstreit and Corso I am assuming Gameday will not always go to the same game as ABC's Saturday night location. Of course it will happen at least a couple of times (at least once for OSU-Texas) and Herbstriet will probably make an appearance.

Re: Herbstreit and Corso I had no clue that Herbstreit was leaving. I dont really like him or Corso, but that does not mean that I dont watch College Gameday. In fact, I catch it as much as possible when I am not in Morgantown tailgating...

Re: Herbstreit and Corso i dont mind Herbstreit but since arriving at wvu 5 years ago, ive never liked corso cause he is always negative about wvu. Someone told me he was upset over not getting a coaching job here after bobby bowden left, but i have no way to confirm that
