Per an ESPN release today, College GameDay will originate live at 10 a.m. April 12 for the first time from the site of a spring football game. The network has chosen Coach Urban Meyer's program at Florida. The Gators' spring game will be televised after the show.
OK ... so not everybody can win a recruiting sweepstakes like this, and ESPN is surely playing to the fact it will televise the Florida game. But consider that Alabama's A-Day game is the scheduled for the same afternoon and -- this is important -- 92,000-plus showed up to attend it last year.
