PITTSBURGH (AP)—Highly regarded prep quarterback Terrelle Pryor is headed to Ohio State.

The two-sports star announced his decision Wednesday at Jeannette High School, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, where he had one of the greatest prep careers in Pennsylvania history.

Flanked by his parents, brother, sister and other supporters, the 6-foot-6 Pryor wasted no time with his decision: “If everyone’s here,” he said, “University of Ohio State.”

He then unzipped his windbreaker to reveal an Ohio State T-shirt and donned an OSU hat.

Pryor picked Ohio State over Michigan, Penn State and Oregon.

Pryor said Oregon was too far away and Penn State too rural. He said he liked Michigan and new coach Rich Rodriguez, but felt that he has a better shot at making it to the NFL by going to Ohio State.

I hope Ohio State doesn't just try to make him a drop back and pass guy, he bring the Big Ten into the twenty-first century if OSU lets him.

I think they will. They pretty much have to. I mean, what's the point in recruiting him if you planned to reign him in?

Isn't that what they do though... recruit people and reign them in..... then lose back-to-back national title games

Actually I'm glad he chose a "Big 10 School" at least we know how many bowl wins Ohio State has verses the SEC "0". I want Alabama to get a piece of the action.

yea i really dont see bama fans or the actual tide program being to jealous of ohio state. or any program for that matter. might be hard to believe but the schools that wanted him (ohio state,mich,pennstate) arent exactly at teh top of their game right now. but i bet rich rod is pretty ☻☻☻☻ed

Don't forget that in this decade they have gone to 3 championship games and won one. How many others have done that?? If I were that kid, I would want to go to school that gave those kind of chances.

Yep. How can anyone fault the kid for going to Ohio State?...Better yet, how can a lot of you guys say that you wouldn't want the kid and keep a straight face...I mean, having pride in your school is one thing...but saying you would rather that your school not land Pryor is less than believable.

i dont doubt that pryor is good. but it shouldnt be that hard to believe that maybe some of us REALLY dont want him at our school. not everyone is in love with him.

and azreal. lsu WON the national title games they went to. since when does the runner up get a prize? especially when you consider the road they take to ge there
