Well, they call it the "Big Can't Count To 11" for a reason! I'll leave the others for someone else. Don't want to hog them all, you know? |

| Re: Big Ten Football Conference Trivia Quote:
It was on January 11, 1895 that seven schools got together and formed the first conference. Members of the conference could compete against each other and be sure that everyone was following the same rules. Before that college football was a rough and tumble sort of no man's land. Schools were paying pros to play for them, and players would play for multiple schools. Academic standards were ignored. Fights broke out, no protective equipment was used and students were getting seriously hurt and even died. It got so bad that the president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, threatened to ban college football unless something was done. Thus the birth of the first conference, Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives was born, and later became known as the Big Ten. Big Ten teams have won the national championship on 33 occasions. Michigan leads the way with eleven national titles. Apparently everyone but Bette knows that there are actually 11 schools in the Big Ten, and that the number 11 is hidden in the Big Ten Logo. One of these days Lefty, I am going to ask a question you dont know the answer to!
