Buckeyes, Trojans, Vols on the rise in updated Top 25

Revised top 25 projections.

My Bulldogs have a tough schedule as they play 6 of top 25. # 7 Florida, #8 LSU, #10 ASU, #14 Tenn, #16 Auburn & #25 South Carolina.

Oh yeah another ESPN anti-Alabama poll. These guys don't give any credit to the Crimson Tide who had the best recruiting class. Hey it isn't about what happened last season it is about next season. These guys have consistently got it wrong year after year so why does anybody pay them any attention?

Stoney it's not anti-Bama bias it is reality. Look back at the ranking of the last 4 recruiting classes.

This years # 1 class does not equate to next years champion.

The group making the most impact next year will be the 04 and 05 classes - Bama was ranked 15 and 18 in those years - hardly the stuff of championships.

9. Clemson Tigers

Tigers coach Tommy Bowden might be poised to win the ACC championship at last. After getting a contract extension, Bowden assembled one of the best recruiting classes in the country. He also persuaded junior tailback James Davis and receiver Aaron Kelly to stay in school. Underrated quarterback Cullen Harper comes back to lead what might be the ACC's best offense.

This is Bama's first opponent in the 2008 season. If Bama can defeat Clemson how far will Bama move up and how far will Clemson fall?

Depending on how well the other top 25 play I could see Bama moving into the top 25 and Clemson dropping a few spots. The big issue - I don't think Bama will beat them as Clemson is a legit top 15 team and Bama needs another year or two. I am looking forward to the game and hope I am wrong with my early pick.

The Crimson Tide is going to rise to the occasion. This type of banter from ESPN not giving Alabama any respect is just the fuel that Saban needs to fire up his team.
