Rice, Gagliardi Hall of Fame bound

The Associated Press is reporting that Jerry Rice and John Gagliardi -- college football's all-time winningest coach -- will headline this year's class of inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame. Joining them will be defensive back Kevin Dent of Jackson State, quarterback John Friesz of Idaho, receiver Ronnie Mallett of Central Arkansas and coaches Dick Farley of Williams (Mass.) and Vernon "Skip" McCain of Maryland State. Deserving picks?

Straight from the AP: "Rice starred at Mississippi Valley State from 1981-84, finishing with 310 career receptions, 4,856 receiving yards and 51 touchdowns."

I knew Miss. Valley State was a small school, but I had no clue he put up these kinds of numbers.

I knew he had a good career, but those are some stunning stats!
