| The SEC will Win 5 Bowl Games The SEC will Win 5 Bowl Games this season. No. 2 LSU, picked by 6, will make Ohio State 0-9 vs. SEC teams in Bowl Games All-Time. No. 5 UGA, picked by 10 will beat Top 10 Hawaii who is 12-0. No. 16 Tennessee, who beat UGA, will beat No. 18 Wisconsin - who beat no BCS Final Top 25 ranked team at all. I'm not sure that No. 12 Florida will beat unranked Michigan and even more questionable Gators to cover the opening line of 10 and a half points, but one would like their chances as well. Kentucky, picked by 1, who beat No. 2 LSU will beat 7-5 Florida State who could only beat No. 14 all season. No. 23 Auburn who beat No. 12 Florida will beat No. 15 Clemson whose best win is only over No. 35 Wake Forest when Wake Forest is 8-4 against a weak NCAA SOS of No. 70. Alabama, picked to win by 4 and who beat No. 16 Tennessee may not beat 6-6 Colorado but again one would like their chances too. Mississippi State's Sylvester Croom who beat No. 23 Auburn will beat UCF whose best win all season is over No. 40 Tulsa who has 4 losses. Ranked in some of the Top 25 already Arkansas who beat LSU, even without a Houston Nutt or Bobby Petrino to coach them in the bowl game, may not beat Missouri but Missouri will certainly know they were in a game against probably The SEC's 8th or 9th best team. In short, it is a sensational thread title and opening statement to say you don't know who will have the best record, but it will NOT be The SEC. I mean look at the facts that The SEC 1 bowl game not on New Year's Eve or Later. If you are looking for the weenie bowls with poor teams who beat no one, and who played weak schedules and still lost - and, wish to compare the records after those weenie bowls are played of some other conference and don't even know who it is who is a strong conference this season with 7 SEC teams ranked in the Top 25 of the polls on this day today, then you are doomed to the failure of your statement before you start. Historically, The SEC has both the highest winning percentage and most wins of all-time. This season promises to be no worse, and with Urban Meyer, Les Miles, Bobby Petrino, Nick Saban, Houston Nutt, Sylvester Croom, Mark Richt, Steve Spurrier, Phillip Fulmer, Bobby Johnson, Rich Brooks, and Tommy Tuberville the head football coaches in The SEC averaging $2 million dollars a year each - one would think that the prospects for this being a poor choice beforehand to state they will not do well right now are very good. 177-145-9 The SEC in Bowl Games to-date : .548 34-30-1 Big East in Bowl Games to-date : .531 101-91-5 PAC-10 in Bowl Games to-date : .525 77-72-2 ACC in Bowl Games to-date : .517 94-101-1 Big 10 in Bowl Games to-date : .482 37-41-0 Big XII in Bowl Games to-date : .474 And, you suggesting that the Big XII is better - when they have been the dead last worst and only have 4 ranked teams this season in the BCS Top 25 to the SEC's 2 more of 6 is pure unadulterated bunk. Other than that, I agree - The SEC ain't all that great; but, it is a lot better than any conference you can dream up ahead of time right now today to even begin to tell us in this forum who is better. I am certain when it is all said and done, that The SEC will have the Most Bowl Wins again this year and have again the Most Top 25 Ranked Teams, the highest attendance in the nation, the best coaches nationwide and have won yet another National Championship to lead all conferences in that too in the BCS since its inception. Thanks for the laugh. |
