End of an Era?

Have we seen the last of the undefeated major college football teams? I’m thinking with the scholarship limits and the emergence of the some of the smaller less respected conferences the era has ended.

This year looks to be the beginning of something new and exciting for college football.

Re: End of an Era?

It is rather exciting. I usually get tired of watching the same teams dominating every year. Florida St and Miami, Fla have not been relevent in some time now. They are still good teams, but not the powerhouses they have been. It is fun to see the likes of BC, Oregon, and South Carolina teams starting to compete better. I want to see the day a perrenial loser makes it to the BCS championship game.

Well, not yet. I mean, there's still Kansas unbeaten (for now) and Hawaii, though I'm not sure if you'd consider them major college.

Re: End of an Era?

Randy,
I think so. The parity right now is astounding. When Mizzou hands KU their deserved ☻☻☻☻☻ whupping then everything will come full circle.

With that said, I wouldn't put it past FSU to beat us at home. I actually don't want Tebow to win the Heisman this year - it tends to be a curse.

Re: End of an Era?

I'm not convinced Mizzou is a better team than the Jayhawks. Guess we'll see. However, if Kansas loses, how badly do you think the BCS will be rooting for Boise to knock off Hawaii so there won't be an unbeaten team on the outside looking in?

Re: End of an Era?

The BCS still uses strength of schedule so that will answer all the burning questions IMO.
