The Mount Union Purple Raiders of Alliance, Ohio, are 8-0 and have just clinched at least a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship. It is their 16th consecutive conference title, and 19th overall. The Raiders have 331-3 in the first half this season, for the record, and are probably the favorites to win the Division III national championship again this season under coach Larry Kehres.

Well, the Purple Raiders finished the regular season ranked #1 in the AFCA Division III Coaches' Poll, and they won their opening round playoff game, 42-18 over the Ithaca Bombers. Nate Kmic ran for 217 yards and scored four touchdowns. Next week, they'll look to advance when they meet the College of New Jersey. Think Mount Union can win their 10th D-3 title this year?

It always amazes me that Mount Union is this dominant in their division. I used to live right next to the campus. If you were driving through, I don't know if you would even realize it was a college. It is pretty small, but a very fun place to be.

Yeah, the campus up their in Alliance is nice. I was real close to going to school there, and actually got free tickets to a game as part of the recruitment package. Nice town, great school and I've really been a fan ever since.
