Lsu Ap #1

I was just looking around and ESPN.com and the new AP poll has the LSU Tigers jumping USC for the #1 spot.

The ranking took a major hit this week with a lot of ranked teams losing.

ESPN - NCAA College Football Polls, College Football Rankings, NCAA Football Poll

Rising to the top by default perhaps?...USC did not look good this past week...they are lucky to win.

Yea and what about South Flordia at number 6? I think that Kentucky should also be ranked higher than Boston College that is just ridiculous

That's kinda a tieup for who would be the better of the two. Boston College has played a Georgia Tech that has not lived up to the hype and Kentucky has played a Louisville and Arkansas that are def not as good as they were last year. The next few weeks will tell a lot for both teams. Boston College has a legit shot of going undefeated. They have Bowling Green, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Maryland, Clemson, & Miami left. They can beat all of those teams which will still be tough.

Kentucky on the other hand has South Carolina, LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Georgia, & Tennessee left. They could easily lose 3 or 4 before the season is over with.

I still think Boston College is better!

Re: Lsu Ap #1

Thats a fair argument. However if Kentucky can win two games out of Florida, LSU, Georgia, or Tennessee, I would have to say they are better.
I just don't think that Boston College could pull out two wins if they had to play Florida, LSU, UGA, or UT.

Kentuckys strength of schedule is much worse than BC's. I think any team would much rather play BC's end of the season than Kentucky's.

Then again I don't think that Ketucky can pull out two wins out of those four games either, if they do it will be huge for their program.

No matter what the outcome of their season is, it's huge for their program. They are playing great football and Woodson is a great QB.

LSU looked lousy for the first half against a far worse opponent, and they failed to cover, I believe. Not sure why USC edging a game Washington team hurts them and the Tigers underperforming in their game is cause for a reward, but, oh well.

I think this a little premature. I would give to them next week if they beat Florida.

I agree with you on that one. If they can come out of the SEC with an unbeaten record, the deserve to be #1 in the land.

Welcome, SCtrojans! I agree with you completely. I have no idea why the voters punished USC for that win over Washington.

I'm baffled. How did USC lose to Stanford?
