| Re: Army coach Bobby Ross resigns Well, it's official. As the Associated Press is reporting tonight, "Bobby Ross retired Monday as Army's football coach, and without a victory over Navy in his three seasons with the Black Knights... The former NFL coach, who had a 9-25 record at Army, will be succeeded by offensive line coach Stan Brock."

| Re: Army coach Bobby Ross resigns I think resigning is the wrong word, it's not like he'll turn up next week and accept a coaching job. His stint with Army was interesting, hopefully they will improve in the coming years and compete. |

| Re: Army coach Bobby Ross resigns Stan Brock -- who? give me a break. I mean after going 9-25 you don't look "internally" for an offensive line coach who's never had a head coaching job. to me, this means the Army is throwing in the towell on football. the service academies obviously have a tough road to get quality athletes. they can get a few patriotic ones, but not enough to go around. Army obviously was at the bottom of the totum pole. they hired bobby ross, hoping a big name would turn it around. bobby ross made 1 million a year -- more than anyone else in the fed. gov't. he was a federal employee by the way. anyway, i think army's program will go down from here. which mean really, really bad. too bad |
