| UAB coach More than one school in the state of Alabama is looking for a head football coach. Watson Brown has resigned after 12 seasons as Blazer head coach. One possible replacement is Jimbo Fisher, LSU assistant. Fisher played his college football at Samford University in suburban Birmingham under Terry Bowden. OswaldTheOsprey  UAB Class of 1973

| Re: UAB coach The Birmingham News is reporting today that the University of Alabama trustees (who also govern UAB and UAH in Huntsville) have nixed the deal for Jimbo Fisher because of the cost. This is just another reason UAB needs its own trustees. The current board is stacked with UAT lackeys. I guess they just didn't want UAB to get a good coach since UAT sure as hell can't seem to!
