Question BCS Championship Hypothetical

ok, i realize hypothetical questions have no real answers

but they are fun to ask

you can post any and all hypothetical questions for all your Championship situations here

my question should be simple

if USC beat UCLA would Michigan have dropped to 4th behind them and Florida ?

everyone was so set to see USC move past Michigan if they won, but at the time no one said Florida should also move past them if bothe teams won

this kinda seems like no matter what voters didnt want a rematch would they have vaulted Boise over Michigan if everyone else lost saturday ?

Re: BCS Championship Hypothetical

Thats a good point, because all I heard after the Florida vs FSU game was that Florida didn't have enough style points to make the BCS Title game. On top of that Arkansas was ailing and not as big of an opponent after their loss to Arkansas. If we were talking about this situation on Nov 19, it would be almost assured that Michigan would be in the BCS Title Game. So if Michigan hadn't finished their season so early, would they have been dealt the same fate? Good question....

I also agree that Ohio State deserves to not have to play Michigan again. I mean if Michigan were to beat OSU 42-39 in Glendale would they have played, Michigan would be BCS National Champs although in all reality why wouldn't OSU have a legitimate gripe? Did that idea influence any voters? I guess we'll just never know.....
