Congrats to the Ohio Bobcats, who will be going to their first bowl game since 1968 this year. According to the AP, "Ohio accepted a bid to play in the GMAC Bowl, its third bowl appearance and first in nearly four decades... The Bobcats (9-3) will play the loser of Friday's Conference USA championship game between Houston and Southern Mississippi on Jan. 7 in Mobile, Ala." What a job Frank Solich has done with this team, eh?

Very true, I think most people thought he would be able to have some success but this fast, very impressive. Once they beat Pittsburgh last year you kind of got the idea that good things were cookin in Athens. I think they will find a tough sled however once some other teams in the MAC get a chance to reload, good work for this year though....

I worry about whether or not Solich will stay at OU, or be tempted by one of the openings at a "more prestigeous" program.

Thats a ridiculously good point. He got fired from Nebraska, fired when a lot of people thought he shouldn't have. I wonder if someone would be willing to take a shot with him, I think he would be a great coach and a good find...

Since Ohio lost to Central Michigan last nite 31-10,won't that allow Central Michigan to play in the Mobile Bowl---If that's the case,will Ohio go to any Bowl???

No, this was written in stone before yesterday's game. OU was going to the GMAC bowl, win or lose. Not sure where CMU's headed.

You northern boys need to eat some good BBQ and some Cajun(Creole) food while you are down here at the Mobile Bowl in Mobile,Alabama!!---You may just like it!!!--anyway after we beat you,the food will make you feel better on your way back to Ohio---This should be a good game!!
