| Possible SEC mess Here's a thought, lets say Arkansas wins the SEC Championship on Saturday afternoon. Arkansas therefore gets the BCS bid for the SEC. Who gets the other spot as an at-large team? LSU or Florida? LSU will have finished strong and be the higher ranked team after Florida falls a couple of spots in the polls, but are they more deserving than LSU? A lot of people been all over Florida lately. After starting strong, and beating up on LSU, Florida has played a number of close games over teams they have been favored against. LSU has finished strong, including beating Arkansas, the team who in this scenario just beat Florida. On the other hand (a big one in this case), Florida beat LSU in their head to head matchup. So if this were to happen, who do you take? Who is more deserving? |

| Re: Possible SEC mess Yeah this is saying Lousiville wins the Big East, and Boise State, Notre Dame, and Michigan take 3 of the four at large spots. If the arguement goes to who will bring a bigger crowd/more ratings, wouldn't that have to be Urban Meyer and a lower ranked Florida team. Remember Urban Meyer was up for the ND job, has a lot of former ND coaches on his staff, and that alone would be a big pre-game story. Go Arkansas, this would be an interesting debate. |

| Re: Possible SEC mess Yeah, an Arkansas win really upsets the apple cart here. That would likely mean that the Tigers would be the highest ranked SEC team in the BCS, despite not having played for the conference championship. They would probably wind up #4 because the quality of the win vs. the Razorbacks would go up. How could they NOT get an at-large bid then? Tigers Ranked 5th in BCS

| Re: Possible SEC mess You bring up a great point that might just answer the question. At the #4 spot and finishing in the top 4, aren't you guranteed a BCS bid? That might finish it up right there! |
