Gator Bowl Tickets

Gator Bowl Tickets
There is more than six decades of history behind every set of Gator Bowl tickets, making it one of the oldest non-BCS bowl games in all of college football. The Jacksonville, Florida based game was first held in 1946, and the inaugural match-up featured the Wake Forest Demon Deacons against the Gamecocks of South Carolina. Wake Forest prevailed, 26-14, thanks to an awesome ground game that ran up 378 yards of rushing offense. That first game, as well as every edition of the Gator Bowl held through 1993, was played at Gator Bowl Stadium. In 1994, the game was held in Gainsville, Florida, while construction was completed on the game's new and current home, ALLTEL Stadium. The game has featured some of the greatest players in college football history, including Dan Marino, George Rogers, Earl Campbell, Archie Manning, Michael Vick and Larry Csonka.

Obtaining Gator Bowl Tickets
Odds are, there isn't a college football fan in the world who wouldn't want to obtain Gator Bowl tickets if they had the chance. However, it can be quite difficult to actually secure passes to a postseason game such as this one. New ticket purchases can be made through Ticketmaster, or through the TicketRESERVE Program, which guarantees fans of a specific team the opportunity to go to their favorite school's bowl games for a modest additional fee. The Gator Bowl's affiliation with the ACC, Big XII, Big East and Notre Dame plays a major factor in ticket availability as well. Tickets on the West Side of the stadium are reserved for fans of the Atlantic Coast Conference participant, while their opposition's fans are asked to purchase tickets on the East Side of the venue. Ticket prices range from $50 for stadium seating to $60 for VIP passes and $75 for Club Seating, when available. Of course, your best bet may be to contact a reputable ticket broker for assistance.
