It's Southern Miss (8-4) vs. Houston (9-3) in Friday's Conference USA Championship Game. Who has the edge in this match-up?

I have to give the edge to the Houston offense in this one. Southern Miss has been held to under 20 points in 5 of it's 12 games this year. i just don't see them having the fire power to keep up with Houston, who has scored more than 30 on 7 occasions.

I agree with you that Houston seems to be just too powerful on offense. Has Kevin Kolb has been outstanding for this team this year. When they nearly beat Miami on Sept 30 (14-13) I thought they would be as dominant as they turned out to be in Conference USA. Southern Miss has played a good non-conference schedule which in the past has proved to be helpful in these big end of the year games. Remember they played a close one on October 14 at Southern Miss (31-27). On a nuetral sight, I think this one will end up a high scoring game with a bigger spread.

Since I am a USM Golden Eagle fan,I do hope we can beat the Cougers tonight!!---We beat them in a close regular season game in Hattiesburg in October--31-27---I think if we take a hint from what West(Head Coach of Memphis) did by sacking their main triggerman Kolb and keeping the pressure on him,then I think our defense can hold him to a minimum performance.--Our Offense can generate some points---We have 2 outstanding running backs--Damien Fletcher and Conrad Chanove and our QB Jeremy Young has matured and is running the offense like a team leader!!
