Army Navy Game

The annual Army Navy game is next Saturday (2:30pm eastern on CBS) in Philly at Lincoln Financial Field. It will mark the 107th meeting of the two teams. Army is 3-8 on the season while Navy will be heading to a bowl game with a 8-3 record heading into the game.

Last year Navy won and it looks like they should again. This remains one of the most enjoyable games on the season as a lot of these players end up serving in our nation's military. It's a day these kids will remember for the rest of their lives and means the world to them.

Does anyone give Army a fighters chance to pull the upset?

Re: Army Navy Game

I hope that they beat Navy, can't stand Navy. But Navy will most likely win, unless there is a miracle. Navy is going to win the Commander-in-Chief trophy, because they are much better than Army and Air Force(can't believe that I just said that).

Re: Army Navy Game

Boy, I love this game. One of the best match-ups in college football, especially the post game traditions. I'm kind of pulling for Army, as my dad served for them for several years, but really it's not all that important who wins. Just looking forward to it!

As an Army Veteran I have no choice but to root for Army. My father was in the Navy, so this was always a big family even in our house.

Re: Army Navy Game

I have been fortunate enough to attend many of the big rivalry games. USC vs Notre Dame and UCLA. 'Bama-Auburn. Georgia-Ga. Tech. OU-Texas, and others. This game has them all beat when it comes to the overall setting and pagantry. When I went to the Army-Navy game when it was played in the Rose Bowl, I looked at all of those young Cadets and Midshipment and thought that one of those young 18 year old kids may be President of the United States one day. It really doesn't matter who wins the game. Both teams are far from their best. It's the spectacle of the game that counts.

Same with me. Before I joined the Army, I would root for Navy because ofd my father. Now, I root for Army because of me.

Re: Army Navy Game

LOL I love this quote from Army...

Quote:
"If we were to lose every game in the season and beat Navy, it would be a great season," Army co-captain Cameron Craig said. "We know if we beat Navy, we can end it on a positive note."
Should be a fun game to watch (as long as it's not a blowout).

I was not in the service, but my dad is a Navy vet from
World War II, so I pull for Navy. My closest friend's dad
was in the Army and he pulls for Army.

I thank you for your service to our country!

Re: Army Navy Game

Good game, as expected. 7-7 tie at this point. Great blocking on that Army touchdown run.

Re: Army Navy Game

If for nothing else, nice to see Army was competitive could have won if a few plays turned their way.

Gotta feel good for those Navy Seniors who are undefeated against the other military academy's.
