| Orange Bowl Tickets Orange Bowl Tickets At the end of every college football season, fans from two lucky schools have the opportunity to purchase Orange Bowl tickets and see their favorite football teams play in one of most prestigious postseason games around. The Orange Bowl, held annually in Miami, Florida at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens. The game has a natural affiliation with the Atlantic Coast Conference, and on its official website, the game is even billed as being the "home of the ACC Champion." The Orange Bowl was first conceived in 1930, as an attempt to replicate the success of the Tournament of Roses/Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California and boost the University of Miami's fledgling football program. The game was first known as the Palm Festival, not gaining the Orange Bowl moniker until 1935. The First Orange Bowl Tickets Only 5,134 fans had Orange Bowl tickets to the very first, official edition of the game, which was held on January 1, 1935. The game pitted the Miami Hurricanes against the Bucknell Bison, with each team taking home $12,500 for their efforts. According to the official Orange Bowl website, Hook Mylin, head coach at Bucknell, hesitated to accept the bid at first but finally agreed to the game on one condition - that he be allowed to transport in water from Pennsylvania for his team to use during the game. Turned out to be a good move, as the Bison won 26-0. Bucknell's Bill Wilkerson scored the first touchdown in Orange Bowl history, and the Miami offense could just manage 28 yards of total offense in the loss. Miami would come back to the game 1946 and would leave victorious in their second Orange Bowl, beating Holy Cross 13-6. These days, the game's illustrious history and BCS affiliation make Orange Bowl tix one of the most sought after in all of collegiate athletics.

| Re: Orange Bowl Tickets I will be attending the Orange Bowl this year. I bought my tickets a long time ago with the hopes the FSU would be in the game. Since they were eliminated in early October I thought of selling the tickets, but then I realized that I love college football and would go to see anyone play in a bowl game. I went to the ACC Championship game last year and that was a blast, I hope that this game could be the same. |

| Re: Orange Bowl Tickets Another problem with Wake Forest, as I understand it, is that the school has a pretty small enrollment and alumni base. So, it is very likely that they won't be buying a tremendous number of tickets. This could cause problems for the Bowl, in terms of a considerably-less-than-capacity attendance. |
