Re: BCS Rankings for Week 9

Finally, some love for the Big East - 2 of the top 10 and 3 of the top 15 are from the conference, and West Virginia, should they win out, suddenly looks like they have a really good chance of playing for the national championship. Michigan belongs at #2, so their jump over USC doesn't surprise me. I think Texas should be at #5, personally -- their only loss on the season was to the #1 team in the country.

Tennessee drilled Cal and the Bears are ranked higher than them.

At least the Vols got beat by a team ranked 6 instead of by a team ranked a spot below them.

I guess most people feel that Cal has played a lot better than Tennessee has since that game. Polls are always confusing, like last year when Nebraska beat Michigan and had a better record but was ranked lower.

If I have this right, Tenneessee didn't start out the year ranked, and that has some bearing on how the BCS rankings work. Go to usatoday dot com and find the bcs section, it gives an explanation on how the bcs works and how the figures are arrived at.

Re: BCS Rankings for Week 9

It'll be okay in the end. after this weekend we will enter the top 10. It'll be hard not to after we give LSU a good beating . I am just hoping we do anyway.

the funniest thing to me is that Tenn is projected to possibly go to the Fiesta bowl, and yet Florida probably will be in the SEC championship. funny isnt it??
