| Florida Gators I am soooo MAD about the Florida @ Auburn game....there was alot of bad calls on Florida and hardly any on Auburn...just because Florida came in havin' the most penalties in the SEC does not mean that they just call whatever on them...lets see there was a bunch of blocks I noticed that Auburn did that they did not call....then the MAJOR thing that made me mad was when Florida was 3rd and goal and Chris Leak went to throw the ball and he let go of it as someone was jumpin' in front of him...he had threw the ball before the guy had even toched him...anyway and the stupid ref called it a fumble...that made me so MAD!!! Then when the punter was fixen to punt the ball but was not payin' attention so the ball dropped and it took him a while to get it back and it was a blocked kick so Auburn ran it in for a touchdown..it made me so sad Here is a link of that play that was called a fumble(supposed to be a imcomplete pass)..it is not the best , but you can still see that he did not touch the ball...here it is YouTube - Replay officials cheat Florida out of huge game. tell me what you think of it....if it does not let you click on it just copy and paste it... | Re: Florida Gators some sayings I found on the internet: 1. When a Team A player is holding the ball to pass it forward toward the neutral zone, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts the forward pass. If a Team B player contacts the passer or ball after forward movement begins and the ball leaves the passer's hand, a forward pass is ruled regardless of where the ball strikes the ground or a player (A.R.2-19-2-I).c. When in question, the ball is passed and not fumbled during anattempted forward pass. 2. Leak tried to pull back because the ball was going to be swatted, but it slipped out of his hand AND WENT FORWARD and was then smacked down. Incomplete pass. 3. Correct, it doesn't matter if he meant to drop it or not, the rules clearly states that a forward arm motions starts a pass. Also it states "When in question, the ball is passed and not fumbled" 4. If the QB's arm is moving forward, even IF he has the intention of tucking the ball, it is considered a pass. The throwing motion (angle, velocity, etc. of arm) doesn't matter. The arm just has to be moving forward, and Leak's arm clearly is. The only thing that could have made it a fumble would be if Auburn had forced the ball out of Leak's hands either by swatting it or making contact with the player. Neither of those scenarios occured. Therefore the play is an incomplete pass. This is just some of them... |
