Oh, man... Florida AND Michigan BOTH jumped WVU. I guess by law the #2 team in the country has to be from the SEC. Ah, well, its still early. Auburn falls 9 spots. I think I predicted 10, so that's not too bad. A Tigers win over Florida this week really messes this thing up.

When does the first official BCS come out. Is it this week?

Does anybody on the western half of the United States really think that Florida is better than USC? I think not. I'm glad too see Cal getting some respect as they looked like the team to beat in the Pac 10 last week

The Trojans took #2 in the Harris and Coaches polls, if I'm not mistaken, so it looks like the AP's the only one who punished them for the close win this week. I don't see how teams like USC and WVU can win and get jumped in the polls - I've never understood that, and I never will.

It's all a matter of perspectives. People expected USC to win big at home and they didn't do it. Meanwhile, Florida did win big over a solid LSU team. West Virginia has that problem with strength of schedule and they will have to go undefeated to even get a sniff of the BCS title game.

For West Virginia to get a sniff at the title game, they need Michigan, Southern Cal AND Florida to lose....while going undefeated themselves.

Tall order for the Mountainers lol.

Should Auburn have dropped lower than Arkansas in the polls? Both teams have one loss and Arkansas dominated Auburn on their own field. I always found it strange, that teams with the same record and a head to head matchup, the loser of the game could be ranked above the winner.

Yes. If Cal had USC this weekend, they would kill them. USC is banged up, and they just aren't playing very well. I personally would take Texas over any body ahead of them right now with the exception of Ohio State.
