Texas dropped down to eight. And let me say, it's great to see West Virginia getting a couple of first place votes (even though it's crazy you'd pick them over Ohio State).

Sorry, AP, but you're wrong. Auburn is the #2 team in the country right now, not Notre Dame or USC.

I think I agree with you on that. Notre Dame is over rated right now and so is USC.

I think Auburn is overrated and expect LSU to handle them easily this weekend. I would put LSU at #2 right now, just ahead of USC.

West Virginia is a good team. I think they will be hard pressed to repeat last season due to a couple of factors.
1) The Big East is an improved conference this year with Louisville, Rutgers, and Pitt all capable of pulling an upset .
2) West Virginia kind of flew under the radar last year with a freshman QB and RB, this year they are marked and every team they face will give them their best shot.
