I think this is an interesting topic. Who is the all time greatest player you have seen play live in person while they were in college?

For me, it would have to be Brett Favre. I got the chance to see him when Southern Miss came to College Station back in 1989. We won the game 31-14, but I can remember talking to my buddies and telling them that their QB was really really good.

Tough call for me. I saw the great Archie Griffin of Ohio State play against UCLA and also saw Billy Sims play for Oklahoma. I also saw USC play here in Tucson 2 years ago with Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart. Also saw Troy Aikman play 3 times while he was at UCLA. I can't make up my mind, but Archie is the only 2-time heisman trophy winner in history, so I will go with him.

Don't do college unless the tickets are free...so it would have to be daunte Culpepper or Tim Rattay...they battled each other...

Though I got in a USFL game when Flutie and Hershel Walker were both on the team....

Time will tell with Payton, but did watch him many times in college. Game that I enjoyed the most was our trip to Bama (96?) when first play of the game was an 80 yd TD, and we never looked back.

unfourtantly id have to say michale vick or mcgheee. I didnt attend my first college game till i came to college so ive seen mostly big east games, except for a game at osu and psu
