Is there is a more over rated team in America than Ohio State?

They very nearly lose to Navy, at home, and they only drop three spots in the AP Poll. Are you serious?????

I'm sick and tired of the mediocre Buckeyes and the even more mediocre Big Ten getting all that love from the media and the pollsters.

Top Ten team? They shouldn't even be in the Top 25!!!

Hopefully after they get blasted by USC this week, people will finally wake up and label them the fraud they've been for the last 3 or 4 years.

Come on folks, wake up. Ohio State used to be a decent program but Woody Hayes ain't coming back any time soon!!!

I've been saying that for years. They always manage to play a weak schedule and end up ranked in the polls high. I was hoping Navy was gonna pull off the win I'm sure that would have opened a few eyes.

I'm not a huge fan of Ohio State or anything, but I can tell you exactly why they are so highly regarded this year. Two words: Terrelle Pryor. The man is a beast, and let's not forget the last time that USC played a team featuring such a big time playmaker at QB.

As much time as I've spent defending OSU over the years (so much so that people think I'm actually a fan), I have to tell you I think they looked awful in that opening game. I would've loved to have seen Navy finish the job. Unless they start playing much, much better, I can't see them being Big Ten contenders this year.

OK, since I started this discussion, it appears that I now owe Buckeye Nation an apology. Since they handled USC fairly convincingly this weekend, I'm man enough to admit that Ohio State obviously isn't the most over rated team in America...USC is!

Regardless of one game, Ohio State and the Big Ten still don't deserve the benefit of the doubt they continue to receive by the national media. Just ask Michigan State.

The reason why Ohio State is always rated high is because they belong there. It's ridiculous to even suggest otherwise...they usually win the Big Ten and they did win a BCS Title this decade. I'm not a Buckeye fan or a fan of any Big Ten team really, but I am a huge college football fan.

To even suggest USC is overrated is simply absurd. They not only schedule high quality non-conference opponents, they also go to and win a BCS Bowl game every year(the one loss in the last 7 years was to Texas in the final seconds).

Both of those programs put a lot of players into the NFL, this wouldn't happen if they were "overrated".

Wait a minute!!!!! Why do you think winning the Big Ten gives Ohio State credibility on the national scene? Have you actually watched the Big Ten?

First of all the league has ELEVEN members but seems incapable of counting that high. But in reality the league should be called the Big Two and Half. Every year it's Michigan and Ohio State at the top and one other team (the Half) crawls out of the slime to have a half-way decent season. One year it's Wisconsin, next year Penn State, etc, but it's NEVER the same team two years in a row.

So what does that tell you about the Big Ten? It tells be that it's a bottom heavy league. So Ohio State wins the Big Ten and at the same time second-place Michigan loses to App State. And you want me to believe that gives Ohio State a place at the table? Oh PLEASE!!!!

Ohio State fans are the most delusion fans in the country. They seem to think that because they had a good program ten years ago in a league that hasn't been competitive nationally for fifteen or twenty years, that they still deserve to play for the national championship.

So the media buys into the hype and sends them to the BCS championship game and true college football fans across the national turn the game off in the second quarter and watch Oprah reruns instead. After all, Oprah's more entertaining that watching an Ohio State game! Get real people!!!!

I respect your thoughts and insights. I don't agree with Ohio State, I'll concede USC, but not OS... I don't care if they have won a title this decade considering the joke that is the BCS. The reason they usually win the Big10 is because in general it is usually them and Michigan who are at the top and no else can run with'em in the conference, usually.

The hardest conferences to be in are the SEC and the Big 12. Every year those teams have big time in conference games while Ohio St is playing who? Nobody. USC has a decent program and proves themselves year after year as well against decent opponents. You put Ohio St up against SEC or Big 12 teams for a season it would become quite clear they are not a powerhouse
