| My thoughts on this month's CFB news! Tim Tebow Part I: I think it's great that he's a virgin, but how ludicrous was it for the reporter to ask? Completely unacceptable. Tim Timbow/ Spurrier Part II: So what if Spurrier did/didn't vote poster boy as 1st team QB? Sure, he won the heisman/ has a NC. But nobody in the Big XII is b*tching that people voted Colt McCoy over Sam Bradford. Sure, Texas beat Oklahoma. Newsflash! Ole Miss (Jevan Snead) beat Florida. The whole thing is ridiculous and the media circus around it is just as much so. Red River Rivalry: Have you seen the pictures of the special ESPN is going to do on Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy? They are going to be competiting in trivial games of ping pong, wiffle ball, H-O-R-S-E, and golf. Kinda cool if you ask me! Look for these on college gameday in the fall. Photo Gallery By the way, Sam look like he's grown quite a bit. He has the NFL ready body. Non-BCS teams to the Rose Bowl: Tradition whaaaaat? Big 10- Pac 10 matchups have been major ZZZs lately. Here's your chance, non-bcs schools. BCS changes open Rose Bowl bids to outsiders - ESPN Insurance policies: Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, and Tim Tebow have all taken out insurance policies this year. Pricey, but God knows if you don't get one something will happen. Recruiting: Rivals has come out with their 2010 team rankings for recruiting. Of course it's early. The usual recruit suspects are in the lead. Texas, LSU, Florida, Oklahoma, and Alabama round out the top five. Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Fast start puts Texas on top of team rankings |

Sooners make hay in their first Rose Bowl - NCAA College Football Recap - ESPN That brings up another point. The Pac 10 needs to get back to being competitive. When any team wins the conference THAT many years in a row, something's wrong. The Pac-10 is a conference that lives and dies by its quarterbacks. Right now, they suck. A few years back you had a healthy Dennis Dixon making Oregon competitive. You have Aaron Rogers making Cal competitve. You don't even have to list the great QBs from Washington and UCLA of the past. Could be another down year for the conference. |

I could have died quite happily not knowing that fact. The media are generally idiots and this proves it. Its a good idea to get the insurance. Get hurt seriously this year and they are out major bucks and an NFL career. |

On insurance, I understand why Colt and Tim would, but why Sam? He gets hurt, he still has a year left of eligibility. Either way, I think this means he is FOR SURE gone after this year (unless of course, he does get hurt). Sam will have graduated this winter. He has something redic like a 3.9 GPA: he is a finance major and he made a B in Calculus 2 (haha sam- i made an A!). He is obviously very smart. He will make a great NFL qb. |
