Davidson vs. Kansas

The ride to the ball ended for Davidson today, as the Jayhawks beat the Wildcats 59-57. But oh what a ride, and what a game. Someone forgot to tell Davidson that the Jayhawks were the wicked stepmother. They showed no fear, no hesitation. It was a wild game. In the last seconds, Davidson missed and Kansas kept the lead.

What a fantastic showing for those guys, though. Man, I was really rooting for them to make it to the Final Four, and they almost pulled it off. Jayhawks were just a little too much in the end, though. What a game.

Those guys?...they were contend to live and die by Stephen Curry's shot...Curry carried this team...if they had a second option it would have been nice to use it with 16 seconds to go yesterday.

Dont know if I am more surprised or confused by your post. First, unfortunately Curry was double teamed and he passed ball off to Jason Richard who missed in the last seconds.
I dont know how you can say Curry carried this team. Their defense created 14 turnovers on Kansas, with 9 of them in the first half. At one point Kansas had more turnovers (3) than field goals(1). They also had a shot-clock violation after a timeout. They had foul problelms, Kaun had two in the first 8 minutes.
The Wildcats had the longest win streak in the nation at 25. They stood toe to toe with some of the toughest teams, including Georgetown and Wisconsin who have two of the stingiest defenses in the league. Curry's teammate Jason Richards is on the Midwest Regional Team as is Curry.
At the last, the Wildcats tired and the Jayhawks hung in there. But the Wildcats gave them almost more than they could handle.
So please dont take away what this team accomplished by saying they were content to let Curry carry the team. Many teams have star players, and Curry is a star player on a great team.

Re: Davidson vs. Kansas

the only place that they messed up was the finalposession where curry was taking hte ball up the court. they shoulda had their senior point guard take the ball up the court and dish it to curry INSIDE the arc where he could try an easy bucket and/or draw contact. or curry shoulda just took the shot when he schooled brandon rush before his attempted game winnin asist
