| Hello Cinderella!!!!!!!!!!! Raleigh, NC – Every year in the NCAA tournament there is a Cinderella team this year there are a lot of those teams. Western Kentucky and Villanova are in the Sweet 16 as twelve seeds. I won’t call them being in the Sweet 16 a fluke but they had their first round upsets but got to face thirteen seeds in round two, so they were actually favorite in second round. But there is a real Cinderella this year. That team is, the Davidson Wildcats. The Davidson Wildcats finished the season 25-6. They won the Southern Conference Tournament and are currently riding the nation’s longest win streak at 24 straight games. Davidson ended being a ten seed in the Midwest region and got to face seven seed Gonzaga in round 1 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Davidson basically had a home court advantage. They beat the Zags 82-76. Then on Sunday Davidson got a shot at the number two seed in the Midwest. The Georgetown Hoyas. At one point in the second half the Wildcats trailed the Hoyas by seventeen points. But that didn’t stop the Wildcats from coming back to win 74-70 and advance to the Sweet 16. They will now face the third seeded Wisconsin Badgers on Friday at 7 PM Eastern on CBS Live from Detroit. Davidson is lead by Sophomore Guard Stephan Curry. Curry has scored seventy points in the Wildcats’ two tourney games. Fifty-Five of those points came in the second half!!!! Curry was also the Southern Conference Player of the Year. He may not be the second coming of Michael Jordan he is one damn good player and get this he is going to stay for junior season so he can learn to play point guard so he play a position better for a player his height in the NBA. Great player, and a class act not to many of those left these days. So now we’ll look at the match-up between Davidson and Wisconsin. They are exact opposites; the Badgers are the three and won the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. The Badgers play a defensive, slow it down, half court style. Davidson gets out and runs and shoots the threes. Wisconsin already beat a team similar to Davidson when the beat Cal St. Fullerton in the first round. I hate to play spoiler, but I think Davidson’s run ends on Friday. Wisconsin is a solid that won’t kill themselves and will be able to slow down Davidson and win this game. That is why I picked the Badgers to got the Final Four. This could be the best of the Sweet 16 and personally I can’t wait. Once again this game is Friday March 28 at 7:10 PM Eastern on CBS.
