| 1966 Texas Western Miners The 1966 Texas Western Miners basketball team, which became the first team to start five black players in the NCAA Championship Game and went on to beat Kentucky for the national title, will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame today. The team, whose feats were recently brought back into the national consciousness by the Disney movie Glory Road, was coached by Don Haskins, who individually is already a member of the basketball hall.
