Two Schools of Thought

CBS had the locker room pep talks today and it revealed alot about how the team approaches its high intensity and high pressure games. George Mason's coach read a funny limerick that put down the Florida Gators and the Florida Gator's coach was all business. There we saw two schools of thought. It makes me think, is it the talent or the attitude? Is it the players or the plays? What really wins basketball games at this level?

Re: Two Schools of Thought

Its all based on what's best for the individual team, and no one knows that better than these two coaches. For George Mason, who likely are under so much pressure from all the "Cinderella" stuff that's been going on the past week - stories about how important this is to their athletic department, their university and all small schools everywhere - they probably needed something to loosen them up a bit. Florida's coach, meanwhile, was probably focusing his team so that they don't underestimate this supposedly lesser opponent. Both approaches work well for each team's given circumstances.
