| Elite Eight Match-ups Anyone have any adamant opinions about the current/pending elite eight match-ups?
Personally I see Texas-LSU being a close game with luck playing a huge role in the closing minutes. These two teams seem to be on equal footing in athleticism and there isn't a glaring liability for either team on the court.
In The Memphis-UCLA game, expect Memphis to beat the snot out of this susceptible Bruins team. Call me bitter but if OSU had received the tourney draw that UCLA did, they would have cakewalked to the elite eight. Georgetown is lightyears better than this team and they are a seven seed.
Oh, and if UConn manages to lose before the reaching the final four, that will probably be the biggest choke I have ever seen. Nothing against UW, GMU or Witchita St., they are all legitimate sweet 16. But UConn has five more NBA players than anyone else left in their bracket. they do have a reputation of mailing it in, but we'll see just how disinterested they are in their respective college careers if they manage too lose to one of these remarkably inferior teams.
As for the Minneapolis bracket? Well I cannot think of any reason these four teams would be in the same 1/4 of the tournament field. They are heads and shoulders collectively better than any of the other regions. |
