Of Mikan Ray Meyer said, "George Mikan was the greatest competitor I ever coached. He got better every time he played and I was a great coach when he was on the floor."

Yeah Im originally from Chicago and I remember Ray Meyer. He got DePaul to the dance once or twice. His son tried to coach for a little while but didn't have much success. Meyer was well liked in the city of Chicago. He was regarded as ethical and honest and put the kids first.
