Could somebody tell me how Ohio St is ranked ahead of Wisconsin. They are both 11-1 in the conference, but Wisconsin has a better overall record at 25-2 compared to OSU's 23-3. The main reason is that Wisconsin already beat the Buckeyes. I am a huge Buckeye fan, but this is total disrespect for the Badgers.

It's all the hype over Greg Oden, I think. Plus I believe Wisconsin's conference loss happened more recently -- that always seems to sway the pollsters, in basketball as in football.

Ohio State's losses were all on the road to numer one, three, and four whereas Wisconsin's losses were to unranked Missouri State and number twenty-four Indiana.

Agree or disagree, that is the reason.

I'm a huge Badger fan, so imagine my shame .

I've been secretly afraid that we were overrated this season. I think it's because we never get any respect and so I tend to let that nibble at me. Now we'll NEVER get ranked number one again.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

By the way, I have the Buckeyes going all the way in my office pool...

Welcome aboard, Amtekoth, and thanks for joining us! I've got the Buckeyes making the finals but losing to the Gators... not to confident about that pick the way OSU's been playing lately. Sorry to see your Badgers get bounced, but there's always next year. And football season!

Somehow, they keep finding a way to win. I'm in the top four in the pool at work, but I still need OSU to win it all for me to do the same (so few upsets this year, everything's tight).

Well, they didn't make it all the way, but OSU's showing helped get me into 2nd place at the work pool, which paid for a nice dinner with the wife last night.

Next Saturday I'm heading to a cancer research meeting in LA and OSU's cancer center has sent me an invitation to a reception that they are hosting. So I'll get another nice meal because of my Big Ten rival!
